Karen has been learning the fine art of bookbinding and gold finishing from her father Roger Perry. Roger was taught gold finishing at Bayntuns of Bath in the 1960's, and is now passing his knowledge on to his daughter. Karen can be found on her Instagram @karenmcguirebookbinder is hoping to keep the trade alive and make sure the traditional methods of tooling are not lost.
