Full yellow goatskin with painted leather inlay and onlays. Doublures and endpapers handprinted and painted with acrylic. Leather joints to end papers. Transfer printed edge decoration, hand sewn silk end bands.

Housed in a Japanese four-sided case in hand coloured Hewit's Bookcalf, reflecting the idea of battered and loved, thrown into a canvas bag, travelling from farm to farm. Protecting a treasured text within. Lined in wool felt and printed collage.

The design reflects on the relentless heat, prerequisite headwear, unrelenting hardship and unfulfilled dreams of the text.
