Hewit's fair calfskin was chosen for hand-dying, to enable me to replicate the many colour variations that trees and shrubs display throughout the year. Reverse transfer printing was used to superimpose the silhouette of trees in the winter and this was used for the flyleaf, alongside a distressed Chieftain leather doublure.
