Bound by Jason Patrician using Aniline Straight Grain Goat

For this restoration binding, Jason chose Hewit's Aniline Straight Grain Goat, because of its spot-on grain pattern and color, matching the original. The cover and spine were gold-tooled with 23k gold leaf, in a pattern similar to the original. To match the original endpapers that were too fragile to transfer to the new binding, vintage hand-marbled paper from Payhembury Papers was chosen.
