Treatment - Full leather K118 Binding variant. Bound and dyed in hand treated Fair Goat, with inlays of treated leather and tooling. Pastedowns and flyleaves in hand painted paper. Graphite Topedge, Leather Endbands.

Design Statement - The Scales of The World depicts a cracking open of our understanding. A shedding and a rebirth. An invitation to let the scales fall from our eyes. Rough background leather is cracked open and something bright shins through, split by gold. The inlaid shape echoes a snake motif, inviting you to open the book at the foredge.
