This range of Bible End Papers, published by J. Hewit & Sons, is hand printed by The Curwen Studio, Isleworth, UK. Printed on one side, in a choice of 5 traditional 'Victorian' colours, the paper chosen to print on is Heritage White, 100gsm. Heritage is an archival paper, made from high alpha cellulose wood pulp, buffered to a pH of 8.5. The paper is free of optical brighteners, is internally sized with 'Aquapelle' and surface sized with starch. The usable area on each sheet is 82 x 54cm (short grain).

Useful for restoring older books. Paper itself is very "white", so needs "toning down" on the other side, which is a faff. It is also rather thicker than most originals. Quite expensive for what it is, but I don't know of any alternative.
