Archival Fair Calf
Archival Fair Calf
No reviews
A New Zealand or Scandinavian calfskin tanned using the same process as our standard Bookcalf. The leather is then retanned with aluminium, dyed and left with an aniline finish as with the Bookcalf. Compared to regular Bookcalf (or Repair Calf), it has a slightly bolder grain and is less likely to "bruise" with handling. Due to the reaction of myrabolans with aluminium, it must be pointed out that the Fair calfskin is a pale green/yellow colour rather than the cream colour of our normal Bookcalf production.
