Leather and Dyeing is a practical guide that details step-by-step procedures for creating four different decorative designs to apply to bookbinding leather. In addition to these techniques, the book provides useful background information on leather and dyeing, valuable knowledge for selecting suitable leathers and dyes for any dyeing project. The methods presented are designed to be accessible to fine bookbinders, trade bookbinders, design binders, conservators and leather workers.
This title is the first in a new series of concise guides covering fundamental techniques and essential knowledge in bookbinding and book conservation. These guides are intended to support independent practice or serve as teaching resources within bookbinding and conservation programs. The Bench Publications is the brainchild of bookbinder Nicky Oliver and book conservator Karen Vidler.

A fantastic new book. I read it all at one sitting. Lots of brilliant ideas for artistically dyeng your leather (and possibly other materials).
Very well illustrated with many colour photographs which explains the cost.
