Major Roadworks for visitors to Livingston

A major refurbishment of the bridge that carries the eastbound slip road off the M8 at Junction 3 near Livingston over the A899 is planned to start on the 13th February 2023 for five months.

Due to essential structural works required on the bridge at Junction 3, the slip road will be closed from mid-February for approximately five months. Clearly signed diversion routes will maintain access to Livingston from the M8 coming from the west. Two-way traffic on the local A899 will be maintained when possible, however overnight closures will be required for the safety of road users during the erection and dismantling of scaffolding on the structure overhead near the start and end of the improvement programme.
